Now portable energy dispersive roentgen- fluorescent analyzer "ElvaX-med” is developed in Ukraine.
According to its characteristics it is most suitable for express analysis of biological objects.
Very perspective application of analyzer "ElvaX-med" in medicine is the ability of the multielement analysis
of hair of a person (MAH). MAH diagnostics is widely presented in the world. In the USA not less than 2 million analyses
are conducted annualy, in the developed countries of the Europe these analyses became traditional.
In Russia in this area works "Center of biotic medicine" (Moscow).
However in Ukraine MAH- diagnostics is conducted only in Scientific and
Technical centre "VIRIA" (Kiev) with the help of roentgen- fluorescent method.
It is worth noticing that device ElvaX has opportunity to analyse not only hair, but also blood, urine,
saliva, potable water, juices, alcoholic drinks, medecines, medical food additives, etc.

Among a lot of methods of the element analysis of biological objects
for definition of microelements the most often used are methods of quantitative emissive spectral,
neutron activation (NAA), atomic- absorption (AAA), we seldom use roentgen -fluorescent analysis (RFA)
and practically do not use the most widespread in analytical practice method of secondary x-ray emission with the help of x-ray tubes .
Well known advantages of the roentgen- fluorescent analysis, such as high speed of measurements
(several minutes), simplicity of sample preparation that does not demand decomposition,
wide ranges of defined elements from Si (atomic number Z=14) up to Pu (Z=94) and their quantities
(from 100 up to 10-4 mass. %, sometimes lower), an opportunity of defining of all elements
in one test and some others that make the method perspective for analysis of biological
and medical objects, including definition of microelements in various fabrics and liquid environments of an organism.

The used
method of roentgen-fluorescent analysis
is based on measurement of x-ray radiation intensity of atoms of chemical element when
excitate them by x-ray radiation with the help of tiny x-ray tube.
The received spectrum consists of a set of analytical lines in range from 1 up to 40 kev.
Registration of analytical intensities is carried out by means of a multichannel spectrometer with
energodispersive semiconductor detector (Si-p-i-n the diode) with thermoelectronic cooling.
The specialized software
enables us to construct the most probable model of a spectrum, to find out analytical lines
of a spectrum when we have a plenty of elements in a sample (15-30 elements),
to define mass concentration of an element, exact weight of an object, and,
consequently, to define concentration of elements in sample.
Standart set of test samples with known contents of chemical elements is used
of spectrometer.
Completely automated process of measurements does not demand the competent personnel
with special preparation and provides accessibility and breadth of application of RFA "ElvaX-med" .
Now definition of actual content of microelements in blood, urine, hair is the subject
of the big number of scientific researches. With the purpose of usage of

The
mode of quantitative definition of content of materials is based on the technique of definition of elements'
concentration on preliminary calibration of concentration scale on standard samples
GSORM with given content of elements that allows to measure concentration from 0,1 microgram / gram.
According to results of measurement the information about top and lower level of microelements' standard in sample
is deduced on the monitor and print copy is also made. Work with this database allows us to analyze easily the
research results of hair of one patient that provides the control of treatment efficiency and generalize analysis according to all databases.
We also have an opportunity to receive information about influence of each microelement on
an organism when there is lack or surplus of them and find out how to get them from various food stuffs.

is important, that MAH- diagnostics reveals disbalance of elements in an organism at an initial stage, before appearing of disease symptoms.
